JOSEPHINE LARSEN (Cert Ed FE) and Neuro Linguist Programming (NLP) Master Practitionertrained at BRISTOL OLD VIC THEATRE SCHOOL in 1971-3 (in the same years as Peter Richardson and Pete Postlethwaite) and then went on to study classic and modern dance for 5 yrs in Copenhagen. During her subsequent 30yr professional career in Europe, she gained extensive experience in STAGE, T.V. and FILM and enjoyed front page publiciy, entertaining political and cultural V.I.P's including Nina Hagen and the Rolling Stones. She worked closely with pioneering artists, such as Ian McNaughton (producer of MONTHY PYTHON); Vladek Sheybal (WOMEN IN LOVE); Marianne Segebrecht (BAGDAD CAFÉ); and starred in the Cult Film CLEMENTINE TANGO, which ran for 5yrs in Paris, Los Angeles, Rome and Berlin. Whilst continuing to work professionally in BERLIN , she operates in DEVON as a fully qualified teacher , specialising in Personal Development through Stage and Film Acting skills ... and is one of the directors of HEART'S TONGUE THEATRE Co.Ltd
In a parallel world Josephine is mother of 2 and grand-mother of 2 and is writing an auto-biography (currently titled 'Where Angels Fear to Tread' or something lke that). She has also co-written a stage play (with PRISCILLA BE, an American performing artist and director, based in Berlin) called SHEROSE - a metaphysical farce about 'exploding female icons' - soon also to be made into an animation film ... watch this space ...
